We support a food security effort for area neighborhoods. We support people who support the same. Together we can demonstrate new and effective ways to build community resources through the stewardship of land. Participation is the element of success. Your participation is irreplaceable.
The farm is open usually from 9 until 6pm Monday thru Saturday.
Opportunity is always present. Several folks are working on projects and could use your help. The farm is always in need of the basics like weeding, planting, watering, but those who want to learn can specialize and focus on critical paths like water conservation. Being exposed to a variety of sustainable design methods helps to build a framework for new ideas, conserve energy and divert waste into resources. In a short amount of time volunteers can gather lots of information and push well beyond the basics.
The farm is a results-driven class room of real-world experiences. The farm frequently hosts volunteer events with schools, businesses, individuals, families, and friends. Some have driven hours to engage and support our cause.
