Today we planted seed. Lots of lemon cucumbers. Butternut squash. All the good seed. Had a dream a couple of weeks ago about planting. The take away was plant heavy. Something could happen and it changes everything. Best to have a neighborhood food security plan. Growing food across the street. A quick walk or bicycle ride. A few varieties that work best. Squash. Peppers. Melons. Cucumbers. Fruit. Lately a few neighbors have started coming to farm. Folks from different regions of Africa. Had a meeting with Cedric Douglas last Friday. Talked about Fifthward having a population of 25,000 people. A food security plan would be 125 Farmers. Using available land. Last Organic Outpost would help resource the land and material. 350 folks supporting the 125 farmers. 6,000 people who participated in the food economy. Purchased seasonal crops. Provided a revenue stream of support.
Tomorrow 20 volunteers are coming out from Christ cathedral. Planning on addressing the herb garden and aquaponics. The bees at the raceways have been stinging people. It is a important concern on visitor safety. Today relied on volunteers help. Low energy kept me in the chair. Went home early and napped several hours. Seed was planted and everywhere.
